How I Crushed Lily & Lyleen in Palworld: Tips for the Second Tower Boss

Palworld Tower Boss Lily and Lyleen require level 30, fire Pals like Vanwyrm Cryst, and passive helpers such as Dazzi or Daedream.

If you’ve just mopped the floor with Zoe and Grizzbolt, it’s natural to feel a little cocky. I know I did. But let me tell you — Lily and Lyleen are a whole different beast. These two are likely the second Tower Boss you’ll run into, and they’re stationed so close to the tutorial area that it’s almost too tempting. Just a quick sprint north of the starting zone, and there it is: the Tower of the Free Pal Alliance. You can see how close they are on the map. It’s practically begging you to walk in and say hi. Don’t do it — not yet, anyway. The difficulty spike here is real, and if you stroll in underleveled, you’ll get mulched. I learned the hard way, so you don’t have to. After a few painful attempts, I realized: level 30 is the sweet spot. Wait until then, gear up right, and bring some fiery friends. That’s when the fight becomes a thrilling dance instead of a slaughterhouse replay.

Lyleen’s bio says she’s “full of love.” Sure — the same way a volcano is full of warm hugs. She’s a vicious Grass-type Pal, and that means one thing: fire. Lots of it. My entire strategy revolves around exploiting that weakness while keeping a constant stream of Pals on the field. You don’t want to be a solo hero here; you want an angry little squad melting her health bar. After a lot of trial and error, I settled on two all-star picks.

First, the ride-or-die pick: Vanwyrm. Specifically, I use the Cryst variant because it looks awesome and still brings the heat. You can mount him mid-fight, which gives you mobility plus a direct line to those destructive Fire abilities. It’s a total game-changer. While you’re circling the room, Vanwyrm spits out fireballs that make Lyleen shriek. I found my Vanwyrm just southwest of the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster teleport point — it’s a little hike from the middle of the map, but totally worth the detour. You can also try breeding Nightwing with Melpaca or Mozzarina, but honestly? Overworld hunting is faster. I took one look at the breeding calculator and said, “Nah, I’d rather just catch one myself.”

Second, you need a swarm of passive helpers. That’s where Dazzi or Daedream come in — and I stack four of them. Yes, four. Both of these Pals can wear special necklaces (Dazzi’s Necklace or Daedream’s Necklace) that let them float around beside you even when they aren’t actively called out, peppering the boss with extra attacks. It’s like having a tiny, floating firing squad. Daedream is stupidly easy to find — they wander the tutorial area day and night. Dazzi is a smidge rarer, often on the same island as the tower during daytime, or occasionally locked up in Syndicate Strongholds. Pick whichever one you can farm faster, but here’s the critical bit: teach them Fire-type moves. I used a bunch of Fire Skill Fruit to swap their movesets, and suddenly the fight went from a 10-minute slog to around two minutes of blazing glory. Don’t skip this step. It’s the difference between victory and throwing your controller.

Now, let’s talk gear. You can have the best Pals in the world, but if you’re shivering in a T-shirt, you’re done. This tower’s climate calls for Cold Resistant Metal Gear. It’s the chunkiest cold-defense set you can reasonably craft by level 30, and it soaks up damage like a charm. Slap on a decent Shield while you’re at it. As for weapons, I rolled in with a Handgun — unlocked right at level 30 — and it served me well. If you’re already past that and rocking a Shotgun, even better. Aim for Lily. Always aim for Lily. Shots to her human form deal way more damage than anything you land on Lyleen. I treated the whole fight like a living headshot drill, and it worked wonders.

The boss arena itself is identical to Zoe and Grizzbolt’s — those pillars aren’t just decoration. They’re your best friends. As soon as the fight kicks off, I summon Vanwyrm and start circling, squeezing off shots at Lily. My four floating Dazzis or Daedreams immediately join in, peppering the pair with fire damage. Lily has a few terrifying tricks up her sleeve: a giant water bubble that can one-shot your momentum, smaller homing bubbles (you can dodge or shoot them), a ground trap, a grenade, and a wild tornado that can pin you down. The little bubbles are easy to handle — just strafe and pop them. The big stuff? You need those pillars. Duck behind them to break line of sight, and never stop moving.

Vanwyrm makes a fantastic damage sponge, but don’t let him eat every attack. Whenever Lyleen winds up for a huge AoE, I whip Vanwyrm back into his sphere to save his HP. If your own damage output is a bit low (hey, it happens), you’ll need him alive to tank. Withdraw, reposition, let your floating squad keep the pressure on, then bring him back out when the coast is clear. It’s a rhythm — dodge, shoot, swap, repeat. Before long, Lily’s health bar melts, and you’re standing in the middle of a very quiet room, feeling like a Palworld champion. With a little practice, a dash of courage, and a pile of hot-headed Pals, you’ll clear this tower in no time. You got this, Tamer!
